Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Florida

Collection of Non-Billed So-called Past Due Utilities

My mother lived in a retire mobilehome comm. & own her mobile home but leased lot.The park went co-op with some lot owners and some renters.Last year my mother died suddenly.I have been making the monthly payments to the Co-op for the lot rent and water/sewer bill.Last month a new manager sent me a bill stating I owe 215.00 in back water/sewer payments. We I told him I had paid the bill every month and there is Never any past due amounts posted on the bill he said, ''our program doesn't allow us to post past due amounts on the bill.''I am only 1 of 2 people that have supposed ''past due amounts'' in this range.I was never alerted to any past due amounts any time I paid a bill. Also, as of April 15, 2003 I have let the home go back to the previous owner (not involved with this current problem) and they have been very nice to take the burden off my hands.I was only listed on the mobile home but never on the month to month lot lease my mother signed. Am I obligated to pay this past due amount when I was never told about it until last month? Can the co-op do anything to pursue me since I was never on the lease? The amount is spread over 2 years back.
