Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Florida

Excessive debt incurred by ex for kid, is my husband responsible

My husband's ex takes their child to a shrink who is not on my husband's insurance plan (150$ per visit, weekly). My husband is insurance carrier. He has asked her to find a shrink on his plan and has provided list of options. She refuses. She then tells shrink's office to bill my husband directly. Can my husband be held legally responsible for these bills when he did not take the child for the appts, did not consent, did not sign anything, etc. They share copays for all medical; however, my husband required to pay entire copay (1000$ if not on his plan, 350$ if is on plan)

PLEASE HELP.

The divorce decree or agreement should cover this issue. If not, a court hearing may be in order. Unless there is a good reason for this doctor alone I can see a judge ordering her to use a doctor in the insurance plan.
