Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Florida

friend ruining my credit

for two years, my best friend at the time had a phone line on my cellphone account. she paid on time always; no problems. i even had her sign a homemade contract. in august of last year, she managed to run up the bill to about $1600. with all the collection fees, the total is near $2800 and she hasn't paid me a dime. its been 8 months now. is it worth going to court over? i think i have viable proof that she should be the one paying the bill. the fact that its on my credit report is really screwing me over now.

Re: friend ruining my credit

This may be the classical case of being screwed for the screwing you got.

If you are sued you can bring her in to the case as a third party defendant.
