My son defaulted on a student loan that I cosigned on 15 years ago, can they take my house away from me?

If you live in Florida, no. However they can garnish your wages and/or income as long as it is not a pension or disability or ss. Having said that, if you ahve funds in a bank and they find them, they won't know where the assets came from,they will just garnish them. Then you will have to fight to get them back.
