Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida

My boyfriend was placed on probation for agg. Battery and possession (felony) in broward and Miami. After a month or two he failed ua and stopped reporting, attending classes, paying fees etc. He is still in the same city just not in his old apartment. He has 2 vop warrants but nobody has tried to contact him or myself. He refuses to turn himself in and says that he can just live low key and it will be fine, because nobody will go out of their way to look for him as his charges are not that serious. Is this true? I have no criminal record myself and feel very uneasy about the situation.

That is absolutely NOT true. This warrant will remain out there forever, and he will forever be a fugitive until he turns himself in, or gets arrested for something else. Tell him to get an attorney, who can advise him to go through this process with less damage than if he had done nothing.
