Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida

My brother took one of his friends to a store and went in with him, 3 months later a cop saw my brother and said he reconized him from a video of a store and that the person who was with him used a stolen credit card and told him if he doesn't cooperate with him that he will put a warrant out for an arrest for my brother, my brother never touched the card nor did he know that his friend was using a stolen credit card, can the police actually arrest him even tho he didn't use the card or are they just trying to scare him to try to obtain information?
