Credit card fraud

A man is terminally ill and dying, his brother ask him for his credit card.

the brother runs up a 12000 dollar charge on the card. The terminally man dies. the brother forged his name while he was alive. is this a criminal scam and what is the law? Thank you very much.

Of course it is a crime. You can start with forgery and/or theft and go on from there. The credit card compny may seek a charge of fraud in either criminal or civil court. In civil court, it calls for treble damages and attorney's fees to be awarded.
