Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida

friend has been charged and convicted of grand larciney but the dollar amount was only $90.00 also she had no prior record .so the charge should have been pety theft some how the court and the public defender missed this and how can we now get it straightened out ...this is here in fl. Bay county .. it was a retail theft with no damage to store either i have checked thoughroly on wwhat consttutes a feloney and it don't add up

You could do a motion to correct the sentence, you could appeal, other various post-conviction motions too. Get an attorney or talk to your public defender to straighten this out.
