Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida

Someone I know was recently arrested and charged with possession of cocaine (S893.13(6)(A), an F3) and use, or possess with intent to use, drug paraphernalia (S893.147(1), an M1). Their total bond is about $3,300, and all of that amount is required for their release, awaiting trial. I'm not new to finding information through my county court system, but I've never known anyone with drug charges like this before. Does the bond amount mean anything as far as how hard the state is going after the person? Any idea what kind of time they're looking at? Minimums, maximums, etc.?

The bond means nothing as far as how hard the prosecutor will go after them. For the most part they go after everyone equally. It's hard to say exactly how much time they will get but I can tell you they are facing up to six years in prison and jail. His attorney would have a much better idea since they know the judges, the prosecutors, and the facts of the case itself.
