Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

I am currently less than 6 months away from turning 18. I live with my parents in Florida. My dad abuses my mom. He does is physically and mentally. He has threatened to kil her but also me and my brothers (who although dont live here he still has control over). Its gone on for years and its obvious my mom doesnt want to leave. I want to leave, legally with the leazt amount of trouble. If I wait till 18 he wont just let me leave (loss of control). He's toldme that. I would like the courts to get involved. The cops have never been called so all I have is my word and the mental impact it has had on me. What legal options do I have to get out? Iwant the state to remove me so I would become custody of the state for the short period. I want o become independent. Is this possible or am I stuck? Any legal way out now.

Call the Department of Children and Families and report your situation. Contact your guidance counsellor at school. If your siblings are older and have jobs that could take care of you for the short period of time, as them to file for temporary custody.
