Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

My 48 year old brother is Down Syndrome. He lives with me and I am his Social Security payee representative. I need to obtain some form of legal status over his needs, primarily medical issues. How do I do this? We are in Florida.

File Guardianship Petition with your local county court. They have a self help department to assist.

You will need to obtain a guardianship over him.
