Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

I currently am awaiting the results of a paternity test. I went through child support enforcement. I already took the test. My son and his mother are giving their samples on sept 2nd. My question is: do I have to wait on the results in order to file for visitation? Reason being, my sons mom won't allow me to see him until then. It could be awhile, since it has to go to court if I'm determined to be he father. She was letting me see him on the weekends, but we got into. An argument and she said I have to pay her to keep seeing him. I told her no, so now I have to wait . It's really frustrating, because he was just starting to get used to me. Since the beginning, she has tried to keep him away from me. Ithe only reason she allowed me to see him at all is because I said I was going to take her to court. I know she doesn't want me in his life, but he's my son and I'm never going to give up. I deserve to be in his life. I'm a good guy.
