Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

Im currently in a child custody battle and have had to cut my attorney due to finances, my ex still has an attorney. I'm completely lost right now with how to proceed with this, we already went to mediation, she is refusing 50/50, and before I dropped my attorney's they scheduled a hearing for temporary custody until we can get to a judge. I dont know how to submit evidence and subpoena the school for records, I've called the clerk of courts, the resource center at the court house, self help sites, and a local law school to see if students could help, everyone says they cant help. This case is in Lake County Fl.

You can ask for a continuance on the hearing for temporary custody stating that you are now without an attorney. You can go to the hearing and state that you would like a continuance as you have no attorney. If you are not at poverty level on income, I suggest you find a way to have your attorney represent you in this matter. If you can qualify for legal aid, that would be a choice as well. Otherwise, I suggest you read the statutes for child custody, child support and other issues to be prepared. I do not suggest you represent yourself in matters involving children as there are no do overs when you have messed up.
