Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

I had a child with a man in 2013, we broke up when i was 7 months pregnant. I allowed him to sign the birth certificate and he did. Now my child is about to turn 3 years old. Iam the custodial parent and he is non-custodial, he has never taken me to court to request visitation etc, he also has completely stopped all communication with me and the child since my son was about 5 months old. There is no relationship what so ever between the two. Im curious to what rights if any does he have and what can i do to have him legally removed off the birth certificate? Can you pleas Help

Unless he is not the father, you cannot have his name removed.

You cannot remove him from the birth certificate. If he takes you to court he is entitled to establish his parental rights.

File a Petition to terminate his parental rights. If he consents to that, you can then include changing the child's name.
