Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

Child Visitation

The Mother of my daughter is not allowing her to stay overnight at my house every other weekend as usual since I moved to a new home as I am in a new relationship. My girl is 8 years old and she is suffering badly as she normally used to spend the weekend over at my home. My ex and I are divorced. Is the something I can legally do? I feel frustrated and I feel I am letting my little girl down and frustrated if I dont do something

Please help!

Re: Child Visitation

You can pursue a court determination, but first I would suggest you get to the heart of the problem

You did not say it but the new relationship has to be the reason, right?

Since your daughter is 8 yrs old, her mother must think something "bad" may happen.

It would be a good idea to get a family counselor involved and discuss everyone's concerns in light of the effect on an 8 yr. old, if any.
