Legal Question in Family Law in Florida
I have a custody situation of a 3 month old in the state of Florida.
The fathers mother has threatened my life, threatened to kidnap my child and has done it "anonymously" her and his brother are both alcoholics and drug addicts. He's turning into an alcoholic as well and he is mentally, emotionally and verbally abusive towards me and his son from a previous relationship in which his mother pushed the child's mother to committing suicide. I'm trying to get a home of my own, I'm in school and will have help paying the few bills I will need(i.e. Power and water). He does not provide anything for our child other than a roof over her head which he complains her never wanted her in the first place. I have reported his mother to the local sheriff and now he is even more verbally abusive because of what his mom has told him. What can I do if he tries to take me to court? He has already admitted that he will give my child to his mother who wants me dead and even threatened to do it herself

call the police. Take out an injunction for protection for you and one for your child against both of them. That way they have to appear in a court of law before a judge who will make it clear to not interfere with you or the child.
