Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

Disapearing

I live in florida and my sons father lives in arizona. hes seen the baby 2 times and the baby is 6 months. We have not been to court. Can I just move to a different state and just not tell him, and start over. We were never married but he is on birth certificate?

Re: Disapearing

If the child was born in Florida and the father is listed on the birth certificate he is the legal father. You are presumed to have custody so you could relocate legally. Not informing the father could lead to problems down the road.

Re: Disapearing

Anyway you look at this - disappearing is probably not a good idea. As the baby's father, he is entitled to visitation.

Can I assume there is some type of history of domestic violence here?
