divorce debt

my husband and i have accumulated debt while married, the credit cards that are in his name and the house is in his name only. if we divorce and he does not pay his bills will they come after me because we were married at the time those debts were incurred even if my name is and was not on the accounts. thank you

In general, a credit card company can only recover from the person responsible for the debt. That would be the person who signed the credit card application. One spouse is not responsible for the debts of the other spouse.
