Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

my father pased away 10 years ago intestate. if there was a will, it dissapeared. we were told while he was living that we would be taken care of (my self and brother) this was his second marriage and was told that the wife had inheriated everything. how do we find out if maybe he had accounts in trust for in our name that she would not know about, and can we contest because she may have defrauded us out of monies, being there was plenty. we need closure on this. i tried once to find out but she seemed to have run to a lawyer and was told everything was hers. she is still alive and feel something is due us, would hate for her to pass away and leave all my farthers hard earned monies to her children. not his, never adopted.

I'm surprised that you're stepmother didn't want to show you the documents by which she inherited your fathers assets so that this would be no longer be a point of contention at the time of his death. If he had a will it should be filed at the county courthouse where he died. In addition,

if you are willing to spend some money the financial records your looking for can be found. If you need my assistance please e-mail me your phone number so I can call you to discuss this further.
