my friend needs to file for divorce, lives in fl now but child and ex are up north. where does he file and how does he establish visitation?

If the mom and child have established residency up North (usually at least 6 months) then he probably should file there. If they last resided together in Florida, and or have land here, then he might want to try here. Have your friend pick up the phone and call.
