Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

I am a grandparent raising almost a year now, my grand daughter...1 parent incarcerated, the other a running addict. I have a hearing finally before magistrate in Fla...what can I expect to happen....cannot afford a lawyer...am almost 60 and working full time with a daycare bill now...please advise.

you need to be seeing a Judge to get temporary custody if nothing else. Once you have custody, you can apply for medicaid for the child and ask for child support.
