Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

My ex husband and I got divorced back in 2014, and I was awarded the car in the divorce.

Last year, him and his new wife requested a trade of vehicles (I give them my car, and she gives me hers) I agreed based on the understanding that he would refinance the car within a week to get my name off of it.

It's been a year and the car hasn't been refinanced. My ex husband and his wife requested that we sign a quit claim deed on the car.

Due to him not refinancing the car, do I have any legal standing to get the car back?

If the car is still in your name, the car is yours. However, you did say refinance, so who is making the payments? That will be an issue in determining whether the car is yours without them placing a lien on it for payments.

You should have all this in writing, if not there will be a problem to enforce the agreement. If the car is in your name it is still yours.
