Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

My infant son was injured in a car seat and ended up with a femur fraction. Because it happened with me braking hard at the light i didn't know it was broken until the next day when it appeared to be swollen. Took him to er and spent a couple days in hospital . Drs confirmed it was due to baby being too little for car seat and said there were no signs of NAT. DCF got involved because my son was 2 and conducted their own investigation. They came by the house twice and now it's been 120 days and I get a phone call stating that CPT wants me get another skeletal survey on my son and genetic test and after the survey comes back negative they will close the case. Mind you we only seen these people twice I'm 120 days and hadn't heard from them I'm 2 months. My concern is putting my baby thru more radiation and whose going to pay the bills? What do I do in regards to these people? They never showed any real concern until 120 days later

YOu need to let them know that you do not have the money for this. They will want you to fill out an indigent status form which is good and then they can ask the state to step in and pay the bill. So sorry you are going through this. DCF has so many cases there are just not enough people to go around.

If you want DCF to go away then cooperate with them, in this case.
