What is the legal (latin) term for when a witness or specifically an expert witness is permitted to testify by asking another witness questions. For example, a doctor asking another doctor questions about their examination of evidence? Thank you.

cros examination. rebuttal. Witnesses do not ask each other questions the lawyers do that
