I don't know Bahamian law, so you may have to speak to a lawyer there. If you want to (or have to, because Bahamain law doesn't provide a remedy) file in Florida, you'd file a petition for paternity or support. Speak to a Bahamian and a Florida lawyer about your options.

If you are or divorced from at this time there were provisions in the final judgment dissolving your marriage and which made him responsible to pay child support in some amount of money. Since you say he has not been paying any child support then you can go back to court where the divorce was entered and asked the court to make him pay or face contempt of court which could be jailed for him. This procedure is not automatic and you need to take certain steps in order to enforce the child support order. If you need further help from me in getting him to pay the money he owes you e-mail me your phone number and I will call you to discuss this further.
