I live in Florida and my sons mother moved him and herself to California w out telling me she won't respond to any of my messages I am thinking about filing for custody what state should I file in

If there was any court order concerning the child and they have been gone less than 180 days you may proceed in Florida. If they have been gone over 180 days California. You will need an attorney.
