What is a petition for dependency in the florida courts

If it is, then some interested person has filed this Petition because he or she believes that a child is in some type of danger and is requesting that the court possibly determine that the child is "dependent."

In some situations, this process is necessary to protect certain children. However, in other situations it can be very burdensome to parents who perhaps have made a mistake and really have the intention of taking care of their children.
