Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

My question is. If you live in the state of Massachusetts and you are going thru a divorce of over 20+ yrs and You have a wealthy inlaw from the state of florida can you serve the inlaw with the Vaughn affidavid ? And is it persuable in court as a realistic avenue to obtain a piece of an expected inheritance ? Do you have to hire counsel from the state of florida ? Or is this not applicable due to Vaughn Affidavid being a Massachusetts law ?
