Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

Is there a way to stop finacial obligation without divorce? i don't want to hurt her, but i can no longer be responsible for her dishing out our money to a lazy 35 year old daughter who refuses to work and has quit her job , in this finacial time we are in! can i have her sign something to stop my obligation to our finances , ------ is divorce my only option?? i am moving out because i am phisically sick over this! tom

You could ask her to sign a postnuptial agreement, but otherwise, nope, we marry who we marry, and we are stuck with that person and their spending habits. The law says we share assets and debts equally with our spouses until we divorce.

I better solution would be to go to marriage counseling. This is a bid issue but there are worse that have been handled at counseling.
