Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

About four years ago I filed a dissolution of marriage in Florida, my attorney had explained to me that a dissolution was everything in a divorce basically (such as custody, support, etc) but with out the actual divorce. About a year and half after that I had decided to finalize it into a complete divorce my husband and I bother signed a marital settlement agreement but it never went before a judge becaus ei fell in to financial hard times and couldn't afford to pay the rest of my attorney fees the court has a copy of the signed marital settlement agreement. I have a few questions, looking up dissolution of marriage online it says it is a divorce so I am confused as to what my attorney meant now, and is their anyway I can finalize the copy of the signed papers myself with court? My husband want resign new ones because he decided he likes claiming my son and I as dependents in the military to increase his pay, but I really don't want to be marri any more and I don't. Know how to finalize this divorce when I don't have the money for an attorney....help....please.
