Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

two years ago my ex wife filed a motion to change the way she was paid child support. I was the respondent. I'm now filing a motion to modify child support. now I'm considered the Petitioner correct? do I need to refer to the previous case number?

The titles, "Petitioner" and "Respondent" never change. You will use the same case number and you will remain the Respondent. You'll probably also have to pay a $50 reopen fee to the clerk.
