First off how many employees does your employer have? Not all employers are subject to the Family Medical Leave Act. In addition, employers that do follow the FMLA usually either allow you to take the time off in a calendar year or rolling calendar year. Take a look at any employment manual they may have given you or speak to Human Resources about the issue. You may also want to consult with an attorney about this issue. Feel free to call my office if you wish to discuss it further.
