Legal Question in Medical Leave in Florida

I was termiated while under medical care. I had surgery on May 13th and have had complications. My employerfired me Nov20th. Can i be fired while on medical leave?

It is unclear from your question whether you and your employer qualify for the protections under the Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA). However, even if you qualify for the maximum benefit under the Act there are only 12 weeks of total benefit, whether consecutive or broken up. In most cases, once the protection period has expired then your employer is free to terminate you.
