Legal Question in Medical Leave in Florida

I worked for an insurance company as a sales rep for 6 weeks before being ordered out of work by my Dr. due to my high risk pregnancy. I was forced to resign but my district supervisor was able to get me an extended unpaid medical leave due to the pregnancy. I submitted the required doctors orders and all paperwork required by my company. While I was out on medical leave my company terminated my employment. I am also owed $2875.00 in commissions with the company is refusing to pay me. I do not understand how I can be terminated while on an approved medical leave. Is there anything I can do?

There may be a lot you can do. Feel free to check out our employee rights blog at www.takethisjobnshoveitblog.com r www.behrenlaw.com. You may have claims for pregnancy discrimination FMLA violations and for unpaid commissions. Also dont forget to apply for unemployment.
