Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Florida

While bike riding I hit a dog and flipped over. I didn't know the extent of my injuries so I didn't look for the dog owners . this happen on Tuesday 07/14/15 is there any legal way that the dog owners pay what my insurance doesn't cover I've been to two doctors now there sending to a hand specialist my thumb broke....

Potentially. Did you report it to anyone? Did anyone see it happen who would be willing to serve as a witness? A homeowners' insurance policy MIGHT provide some coverage, but it's not a guarantee and if there were no witnesses, the dog's owners would likely dispute any claims.

Also, most homeowner's policies these days in Florida exclude dog bites from the coverage. They likely would be self insured for the damages if they are liable.
