Problem with neighbor regarding surivllance and false police report

The neighbor behind me has placed cameras in his windows and house to watch into our house and yard. He has called the police and reported me smoking pot in my back yard. I wasn't! And made the comment,which a police officer wrote in her report, ''that I was going to die soon lady!'' The police have told me that there is nothing they can do about the cameras and that they are talking about the other issues. I am afraid and feeling pretty screwed. What about our rights to privacy? Can anyone call the police and make false reports? I guess a restrainning order is the way to go with the threat of death. I don't why one neighbor has all the rights and I ge screwed. Any advice on how to handle this? I just built a pool and hate to use it or let my kid use it with cameras on us.

Hire an attorney and sue for (1) injunctive relief to have the neighbors stop filming/watching you; and sue for damages for (2) Invasion of privacy/intrusion into seclusion. Good Luck,

You should file suit against him for invasion of privacy and harrassment to start. Just be careful he sounds like a real wacko.
