Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Florida

I recently moved, and gave my landlord thirty (30) days notice. The property went into foreclosure. Moved in May, and my landlord told me that the cannot re-imburse me my security deposit. How is that possible?

Likely because he does not have it. Your lease agreement, if any, controls. Does the lease allow for 30 days notice that you will be leaving? If not that may be a breach. The fact that the property is in foreclosure is likely an irrelevant fact. Seek some legal guidance with your lease.
