Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Florida

I was in a sexual relationship with a woman that works on my plaza that ended two and a half months ago. Since then we remained friends and talked civily. Two weeks ago i stsrted dating someone else and she found it. Now shes ruining my reputation by telling people i beat her and raped her. Which is the farthest thing from the truth. Last night she sent a man into my restaraunt to fight me while i was working and she told all my customers i raped her. The man was arrested. As far as shes concerned what can i do legally to make this stop. Or can i sue for slander?

What you have described would be defamation (slander) so you do potentially have a civil suit. You should consult with an attorney that handles these types of cases. Proving the damages can be tricky.
