Not sure what you mean by a "foreclosure response letter". If you are meaning that you were served with a Complaint for Foreclosure and you have to provide a response to the court, then sorry to say, but there is no magic template that will help you. The response should be tailored to the Complaint that was served and should contain answers to the various paragraphs as well as raise any legal defenses that you may be entitled to. The process, while it may not take an experienced attorney very long to accomplish, is still a complicated one, and that is one of the reasons that attorneys go to school for seven years (after high school), have to pass a rigorous 2 day bar exam, and maintain hours of continuing education on a regular basis.

While there are probably examples of responses available on the internet, using them would not be advisable because they would not likely address your specific situation. Your response must be carefully crafted to avoid making admissions that would damage your case and deliver a verdict to the Plaintiff without any effort on their part. Additionally, it must raise certain defenses in the initial response or else you are forever barred from bringing the issues up later.

There are attorneys who will provide no cost consultations for people in your situation, but do not expect them to give you the document(s) you need without engaging their services. I firmly believe that you get what you pay for from free consultations related to complex legal matters such as foreclosure. In most free consultations the attorney will be the only one obtaining information.
