Legal Question in Immigration Law in Florida

Adjustment of Status through marriage

My husband, who is american citizen, cannot be my sponsor because he is unemployed for some time. Also, we have a 6-month-year old american child.

May I be elegible for adjustment of status through marriage by providing my approval for getting into a medical residency program as proof of legal responsibility for financial support?

Although your petitioner husband must also execute an Affidavit of Support and meet citizenship and domicile requirements, the law provides alternative qualifying avenues with repect to minimum income requirements.
