Legal Question in Immigration Law in Florida

I am newly managing a small company in Jacksonville,FL but am working for a Canadian based company, with the main office in Toronto. I will need to travel back and forth to participate in business meetings and training throughout the year. Currently, I am being paid as a consultant/contract by the Canadian company ( check is paid to my private incorporated business). Since I need to cross the border back and forth, my question: Is there a legal guideline that will allow me to cross the border and work in Canada for the mother company, while representing and still working as the US office representative? I will not be living in or moving to Canada, only short visits since it is the main company. Does the way I get paid from the company determine what is legal? I could go on the payroll for the company if necessary. Just trying to find out the immigration law of working for a company located in Canada.

Are you a U.S. or Canadian citizen? If you are a U.S. citizen, then your issue is with Canadian immigration, so I would consult with an attorney who practices there.
