Legal Question in Immigration Law in Florida

Two years ago I was very sick and had to be hospitalized for about a month with no insurance. Very high bill that we could never take care of. We asked my mother in law to file the support form I-864 as a sponsor because my husband and me don't make 25% over the poverty line. There is a section that says this

If a Federal, State or local agency, or a private agency provides any covered means-tested public benefit to the person who becomes a permanent resident based on the Form I-864 that you signed, the agency may ask you to reimburse them for the amount of the benefits they provided. If you do not make the reimbursement, the agency may sue you for the amount that the agency believes you owe.

Does this mean my past medical bills can go to my mother in law?

No, your hospital bill is not a "means tested benefit".
