Legal Question in Insurance Law in Florida

i was in a car accident in Florida. the insurance company has offered me a settlement based on medical bills and cost associated with the accident. I dont have an attorney. my question is if the settlement payout is based on medical expenses amounts sent directly to the insurance company from the doctors. i sign a release based on those amounts, collect the money, if i can negotiate the lower medical bills is that money legally mine? The adjusters letter states im responsible to pay medical out of the claim..

First my advice you should seek an attorney assist you. Second All monies to settle a case should be paid to you and you would then be responsible for the paying the bills. Third I would not have the insurance company pay the doctors directly. Is the case settled already or in the process of negotiation still?
