Legal Question in Employment Law in Florida

What are the legal consequences to a bookkeeper when their employer insists they continue to pay straight time overtime? Also what are the consequences to a bookkeeper for not collecting state sale's tax? My employer has told me I wouldn't go to jail. I, however, think differently.

Thank you.

I would put in writing your complaints to owner to cover yourself. If they give you a hard time or terminate you, you could have a whistleblower claim. You might also privately go to the Dept of Labor to complain about the practices. Who is the employer? Feel free to call or e-mail to discuss further.
