If you have any documentation that you notified your supervisors, you should get that and keep it in a safe place. That could include e-mails that you sent or received which reference you notifying them, hand-written notes, or other documentation. If you do not have such documents, you can approach the individuals with whom you spoke and see if they will acknowledge that you notified them. If so, get them to acknowledge it in writing, perhaps by sending them an e-mail and asking them to respond.

If you think you are about to lose your job, you need an attorney to look after your interests. While normally a company can terminate an employee at any time for any reason, there are some exceptions which may or may not be applicable in your case.
