Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Florida

We are new to FL (just 6 months) and have had challenges with getting work orders fixed with the property we are renting. We went months (since March waiting on issues to be resolved) and multiple air conditioning issues reported. We have all of this electronically and the communciations as well. We held our rent in July because of the problems and told AH4R that we were as they were not responding. They began fixing things the second week of July and then just fixed the last thing July 31st. Aug 1st we received an Eviction Summons. We still have a garage door that is broke, but that is all at this point. Are we going to have to move based on this notice? What happens next?

Your lease agreement, if any, controls. Seek some legal advice with regard to what happens next.

Unless you are familiar with L&T law in Florida , you should not be representing yourself. The outcome may affect your credit, ability to rent and ability to ever obtain a mortgage. Did you comply with FS 83.60 (1)(b)? Do not default in the legal proceeding. You may have defenses.
