Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Florida

I have an issue that needs help.I had an eviction filed in court in January 2015 because my husband was off work since nov 2014 due to blood clots In his leg and did not get paid while off work so I had the only income coming in and it was the holidays and I have kids.I went to get help at a Jewish community center they offered to pay my rent and late charges but the office manager turned it down stating it would be late and they won't except the payment from them. They then filed and eviction I. The courts I had 3 days to come up with the money or my family and I would be homeless.I had to borrow from a dear friend of mine onto power of the rent I also had to pay the attorney fees and court fees which now put me in worse hardship! I begged them to expect the check from the Jewish center told them my payment would be late because I didn't have all the money myself. He still refused it.So now that I paid it off in January they told me it would be dismissed and the court record would be dropped.I recently tried to buy a home and was turned down due to this eviction filed in court that was paid off!!!! What can I do????

the eviction is public record. you can explain the circumstances and what occurred, but I am not sure they will help your ability to obtain financing. I suggest you discuss the issue with the lender and see what you need to do to repair your credit. there are agencies that do this too, however it will usually take a year to accomplish that.
