Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Florida

We left our Rental home and moved to a new one on March 31, 2017. I received a certified letter on Friday, April 21st describing what they were claiming against my security deposit. I was drafting a letter to disagree today when I get another certified letter with the balance of money due to me minus the claims against my deposit. I thought I had 15 days to dispute and the Landlord couldn't do anything during this time? I live in Orlando FL.

They appear to have jumped the gun, but would owe you the undisputed amount either way. you have time to file your objection now. the only remedy you have is to file suit if they don't voluntarily pay.
