Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Florida

How do I get my money back from my landlord?

We told her we were moving out, she got mad and let herself in the house after being told we were not home, removed the cable box even though we paid for the cable, it was included in electric and started drama. We decided instead of waiting the rest of the month we moved everything out last night. I have asked her repeatedly to give our money back. I have asked multiple times, she blocked me and my boyfriend and won't respond to texts or calls. She tried saying we only paid 650$ in rent when I have the original message that states what we pay and what it covers. There was no lease agreement.

you will need to file a small claims case to get your money. First send her a letter according to 83.56 statutes and request the deposit and cable box (because they will charge you for it). Do it certified mail. She has 15 days to respond and if no money take her to court and request to be reimbursed for court costs etc.
