Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Florida

We are the owners of a two bedroom townhome in Florida. Our son is currently occupying the premises and is looking for a roommate to share the rent. We currently have no written lease with our son. When he finds a roommate, should we include both our son and the roommate on the lease, or is it sufficient to have just have the roommate on the lease.

You can have only the new tenant on a lease when you have it signed. You need to make sure that it is clear that the individual only has possessory right to his bedroom and the common space. you need an attorney to assist to make sure you get the results that you want.
